Michael L. Ehren's practice includes complex commercial litigation, health care litigation, real estate and construction litigation, employment litigation and consumer protection litigation.  He works in LashGoldberg's Fort Lauderdale office and assists in representing regional and national companies and business owners, including Fortune 500 companies, hospitals and health care providers, telecommunications service providers, and professionals in state and federal courts and arbitration proceedings. Michael’s diverse litigation experience includes a wide range of complex commercial disputes involving health care, real estate and construction, employment, telecommunications, finance, bankruptcy, class action and consumer protection issues.

In addition to his litigation practice, Michael also assists hospitals with various operational matters and internal investigations, and has represented health care professionals in state administrative proceedings.

Michael is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Florida and Middle District of Florida and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida. He is a member of the Florida Bar, Dade County Bar Association, American Bar Association and American Health Lawyers Association. He has authored articles for national and state publications, and is actively involved with the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center Alumni Association and Leadership Broward Foundation – Emerge Broward. He also serves as a mentor to students and young attorneys through several professional organizations, and regularly participates in various professional and charitable activities in the South Florida community.

Michael received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, in Finance from the University of Florida, and his law degree, magna cum laude, from the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center.  During law school, Michael served as a senior staff member on the Nova Law Review, received the Book Award for Constitutional Law I, Professional Responsibility and Income Tax, was recognized with the Dean’s Recognition Scholarship, and was a member of several law student organizations.

  • Participated in obtaining a summary judgment in a multi-million dollar federal court breach of contract lawsuit on behalf of a Fortune 500 company.
  • Participated in the defense of a publicly-traded Fortune 500 national hospital chain and a Florida hospital against a construction contractor’s multi-million dollar contract and tort claims, which was favorably resolved prior to trial.
  • Participated in the defense of a Fortune 500 national telecommunication services provider in a federal court breach of contract lawsuit brought by a former sales agent.
  • Participated in obtaining dismissal of remediation contractor’s breach of contract claim against a Florida hospital, and subsequent defense and favorable resolution of remaining state law quasi-contract and mechanic’s lien claims prior to trial.
  • Participated in the defense of a non-profit hospital corporation in a qui tam action brought by a former employee.
  • Participated in the representation of a professional golfer’s company against a memorabilia dealer’s tort and contract claims, which was resolved prior to trial.
