The physician sued the group in Florida state court, and the Firm moved to compel the dispute to arbitration pursuant to the arbitration clause in the employment agreement.
Lash & Goldberg LLP defended a South Florida hospital before the Florida Human Relations Commission against a patient’s discrimination claims based on a disability. While denying that discrimination occurred, the hospital challenged the jurisdiction of the Commission to hear disability discrimination complaints against hospitals licensed in Florida under the Florida Civil Rights Act.
Lash & Goldberg LLP represented a national debt collection service in a class action alleging violation of state and federal consumer protection laws. The complaint alleged that calls to collect debts owed for medical services did not fully identify the caller or purpose of the call.
Lash & Goldberg LLP represented a well-known sports broadcaster in his lawsuit against a media infomercial production company. The sportscaster sued the company in federal court for misusing his image and likeness and fraudulently inducing him to enter into an agreement through which the infomercials were produced and other claims, as well as injunctive relief. The Firm resolved the dispute through a settlement agreement whose terms are confidential.
