Medical Center Prevails Over Physician’s Lawsuit Alleging Race Discrimination
Lash & Goldberg LLP secured a final summary judgment on behalf of a Florida medical center against a physician’s claims of race discrimination in federal district court. The physician had sued when his medical staff membership and privileges were revoked. After extensive discovery, including the physician’s attempt to identify other physicians who he believed were more favorably treated, the federal district court granted summary judgment for the Hospital and dismissed the case.
The physician appealed, and the Eleventh Circuit affirmed the district court’s decision.
