Melissa I. Softness is an associate in Lash & Goldberg LLP’s Miami office.  Melissa practices civil litigation in federal and state courts with an emphasis on complex business matters, including contract disputes, healthcare and employment law.  Prior to joining the Firm, Melissa was an Assistant State Attorney for Miami-Dade County for three years.  There she tried eighteen jury trials and handled more than fifty bench trials.  She then practiced complex commercial litigation at a law firm in Miami.  While in law school, Melissa was selected for the Kessler-Eidson Trial Techniques Scholarship, served on the executive board of Emory’s Mock Trial Team, and as a competitor and coach of Emory’s Moot Court Team.  Melissa currently serves as a trial skills instructor at Emory’s Kessler-Eidson Program for Trial Techniques.
