In a lawsuit filed against Canadian travel insurers, the United States District Court denied the defendants' motion to dismiss the complaint based on the insurers' argument that they were not subject to being sued in Florida.  Several Florida hospitals affiliated with Tenet Healthcare Corporation filed the lawsuit because the Canadian insurers paid less than the amounts the hospitals were owed for services they rendered to insured Canadian travelers in Florida.  The case will now proceed to trial in federal court in Florida.
